FULHAM AGREE TO McCORMACK TRANSFER DEAL

Fulham have announced that they have accepted a bid for one of their players from English Championship side Aston Villa.

Ross McCormack, 29, is wanted by Aston Villa and Fulham as agreed to let the player move to the club.

The striker was linked to Norwich City and Aston Villa but Fulham have now accepted a bid of £12 million from the newly relegated side. The club confirmed the deal and issued a statement on their official website which reads: “The club can confirm that a bid has been accepted from Aston Villa for Ross McCormack. Further details will be announced in due course.”

The manager of the side Slavisa Jokanovic left the player out of the squad list for the final pre season friendly game of the season. The game ended in a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace but the coach cited “some physical problem” and claimed that the player was set to return to training on Monday. McCormack has scored 38 goals for the club and has played 89 games since joining the team for £11 million in the summer of 2014. He moved to Craven Cottage from Leeds and has enjoyed decent success at the club.

Fulham has gotten a replacement for the player in Sone aluko. Aluko was gotten on a free transfer deal from Hull City earlier this month. They are set to play Newcastle United in the Sky Bet Championship.

Newcastle will be without Aleksander Mitrovic as he was sent off in the final day of the season against Spurs but Dwight Gayle who joined from Crystal Palace will be expected to hit the ground running. The game is set for August 5, 2016 with Fulham hosting. Benitez is hoping to make a quick return to top flight football and has made a number of adjustments as they settle into life in the Championship.
